Smiths Mill is a small unincorporated community located in Dakota County, Minnesota, United States. It is situated in the southeast corner of the county, approximately 25 miles south of St. Paul. The community has a total area of 0.43 square miles and is home to several businesses, including a bar and grill, a farm supply store, and a small grocery store. The community is named after the Smiths Mill Historic District, a group of historic buildings that were once part of a flour mill complex built in the mid-19th century. Today, the district is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a popular tourist attraction in the area. Other nearby attractions include Lebanon Hills Regional Park, Lakeville Area Arts Center, and the Dakota County Fairgrounds.
